WHAT IS THE FLORIDA POKERS SPORTS SUMMER CAMP?

This year marks our inaugural year of providing excellence to the local community. Florida Pokers Sports Summer Camp is a day camp held for six weeks during the summer on the beautiful campus of Somerset Academy Key Charter School, Boys and Girls entering grades 1 – 8th grades are welcome to attend camp for just a day, for a week, a few weeks, or all six weeks. Florida Pokers Sports Summer Camp offers recreational and instructional time in a variety of sports settings both indoors and outdoors as well as a character building programs.

DOES MY CHILD HAVE TO ATTEND ALL SIX WEEKS?

No, a six-week commitment is not required. We understand that families have summer plans, so our program is designed to be flexible for both parents and campers. Feel free to sign up for one week, two weeks, four weeks, five weeks, or all six weeks! Pricing can be found on the camps registration page.

HOW DO I REGISTER MY CHILD?

You can register online at www.floridapokerssportscamps.org Please note that a $20.00 registration fee applies to each registered camper, no exceptions. Your child will not be officially enrolled in camp until the registration fee is paid.

HOW DO I MAKE A PAYMENT?

Credit Card payments can only be made online through our website during registration or at any point during the six weeks of camp. Please be advised that package rates become unavailable as the weeks go by. In person payments can be delivered to Coach Breton prior to campers attendance is required. WHAT IS OUR POLICY IF A CAMP IS RESCHEDULED OR CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19?

1 - Transfer to another camp You will also have the option to transfer to another camp whether it's the same camp with a rescheduled date or another camp at any location. Some people have also chosen to save it for a camp in the future.

2 - Reimbursement If a camp is cancelled or rescheduled, you will have the option to get a full reimbursement

HOW WILL MY CHILD BE ASSIGNED?

Children will be assigned to grade appropriate groups, which look like this: • Group 1 = 1st – 2nd grade • Group 2 = 3rd – 4th grade • Group 3 = 5th – 6th grade • Group 4 = 7th – 8th grade Although your child will be spending the majority of the day with kids their age, there is also free time to mingle with campers from other groups

WHAT DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BRING TO CAMP?

Besides a smile, there are only a few items we ask all campers to bring on a daily basis. First, it is very important that campers bring their camp backpack everyday (with their name on it). Your child has a busy schedule, and might change clothes a number of times throughout the day, having a backpack helps keeps everything organized. Campers are also asked to bring a bathing suit for the pool and sneakers for P.E. class. In addition to a change of clothes. Anything else is up to the camper and parents. Suggested items include sunscreen, beach towel, swimming goggles, and extra snacks if they would like (food is provided). Please no Nintendo systems, handheld devices, toys, jewelry, cell phones, or bikes.

HOW SAFE IS YOUR CAMP?

Our camp is extremely safe. All of our counselors and instructors are CPR/FIRST AID certified. They also go through background checks before they are hired and are fingerprinted. The facility is maintained and kept secured throughout the summer.

WHO IS ALLOWED TO PICK UP MY CHILD AFTER CAMP?

This is solely a decision made by the parents/guardians. At the start of camp, we ask all parents and guardians to list the individuals that can pick up your child. We also ask that you provide the contact information for each individual, in case we need to get in touch with him or her. Other than that, NO ONE ELSE is allowed to take your child. If their name is not on your list, they cannot take the camper.

WHAT DO I DO IF I NEED TO PICK MY CHILD UP EARLY?

Not a problem, just let us know in advance. If you need to pick up your child early, we can arrange for your child to be ready when you arrive. The sooner you let us know the easier it is for us to get you child in a timely manner. Just call our hotline at 954-000-0000. In any case, we can always locate your child within five to ten minutes.

WILL MY CHILD HAVE TIME TO EAT?

Yes, your child will be given a 45-minute lunchtime at 11:45pm. They will also get a snack time around 3:15pm every day. *If your child has allergies to certain foods please let us know, so we can accommodate them on a daily basis.

WHAT IF MY CHILD NEEDS SPECIAL MEDICATION?

Just let us know any medical needs your child might require, and we will do our best to help. Please understand that Florida Pokers Sports Camp staff will not administer medication. This is a liability issue and done to protect the child and the rest of the campers. All campers are required to show proof of medical insurance.
